Winter 2014-2015

TOP 5 ANIMES MUST-WATCH ( WINTER 2014-2015 )

5th – Shinmai Maou no Testament

Shinmai Maou no Testament

Adapted from a Light Novel, Shinmai Maou no Testament is full of excitements that will send you to the heavens. Story revolves around a Hero who was exiled from his village, a daughter of the Demon Lord, and the servant of her’s who is a succubus. The main protagonist’s father brought in two girls, and he announced that they will become his step-sisters. With supposedly opposing fates intertwine, what will happen to them?

4th – Aldnoah.Zero 2

Aldnoah.Zero S2 #1

Aldnoah.Zero 2 is a sequel to the first Aldnoah.Zero, aired back in July 2014. TROYCA made their first debut with this series.

Story revolves around an Earthling living on Earth, a Princess of Mars and an Earthling who served the Martians. The Martians, are always facing provision problems are jealous and envious of those living on Earth – they, who get to see the blue skies and animals that can soar through the skies. An accident that happened to the Princess when she descended on Earth gave more reasons for the Martians to attack Earth. Showering down like meteors, they rode steel giants and intend to exterminate humanity.

Fates clashed, and a fight for peace. The three individuals do what they must.

3rd – Tokyo Ghoul √A

Tokyo Ghoul Root A

Tokyo Ghoul √A is the sequel to Tokyo Ghoul, aired back in July 2014. In the second season, the story focuses on the main protagonist who joined up with the “Aogiri Tree”. By cannibalizing, his “kagune” is slowly turning into a “kakuja”. Being thrown in between ghouls and humans, he must survive the violent conflicts among ghouls. What lies ahead is unknown.

2nd – Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata

Saekano Cover

1 male, and 4 female protagonists. Yes, it’s your typical harem. But if you think it’ll be boring, I’d say, watch twice before thinking. This anime is definitely recommended for all otakus, whether consumers or producers. Story is based on a hardcore otaku, who had a fateful encounter which motivated him to make a galge based on what he felt back then. Gathering people with different personalities, will he be able to achieve his goal and make the galge by Comiket?

You’d be totally envious of the male protagonist’s room, I just know it! Well, at least that was what I felt.

1st – Kuroko no Basuke 3

KnB S3

At the number 1 spot, we have Kuroko no Basket 3. Yes, the long awaited one! Covering the Winter Cup arc, we have Kise going against Kuroko & Kagami and Midorima versus Akashi. Whoever who wins the semi-finals will pit against each other! I’m sure most of us know the results, but I wouldn’t want to spoil those who don’t.

Will Seiren emerge as champions? Or will they once again face a wall too high to climb? You just have to watch it, to know it.

Note that all these are my personal preferences and different people have different views. Please do take this as a reference and not a guideline.
